How many Orthodox sects are there? <\/h2>\n

The Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox churches are two of the largest Christian denominations in the world. Both groups have a long history and tradition of self-governance, with each group having its own churches in various parts of the world. In the United States, the Greek Orthodox Church is the largest of the Eastern Orthodox churches, while the Oriental Orthodox churches have a significant presence as well.<\/p>\n

The survey found that nearly all Israeli Jews self-identify with one of four subgroups: Haredi (“ultra-Orthodox”), Dati (“religious”), Masorti (“traditional”) and Hiloni (“secular”).<\/p>\n
