Judaism is one of the oldest religions in the world. It traces its origins back to the ancient Israelites. Today, there are more than 14 million Jews worldwide. The vast majority of them live in the United States and Israel.

There is no single answer to this question as Judaism is not a monolithic religion. Some estimates suggest that there are around 14 million people who identify as Jewish in the world, but this number is likely to be much higher as not all people who identify as Jewish practice the religion in the same way or adhere to the same beliefs.

What is the largest religion in Judaism?

Orthodox Judaism is the largest Jewish religious movement, followed by Conservative Judaism and Reform Judaism. Orthodox Judaism is based on the belief that the Torah is the word of God and must be followed literally. Conservative Judaism is based on the belief that the Torah is the word of God, but that it can be interpreted. Reform Judaism is based on the belief that the Torah is a human document and should be interpreted according to the needs of the time.

While Jews have historically been found all around the globe, Judaism is highly geographically concentrated today. More than four-fifths of all Jews live in just two countries, the United States (41%) and Israel (41%). In the remaining regions, they comprise less than 1% of the overall population.
