Christianity and Mormonism are two highly prominent religions in the world today. Both are based on the writings of their respective prophets and have many commonalities but there are a few major points at which they differ. To start, both share a belief in God, Jesus Christ, and the Bible. Christianity is based solely on the Bible as its source for divine truth and revelation. In short, the Bible is the foundation for the Christian faith, which revolves around Jesus and the salvation offered through him. On the other hand, Mormonism is based on the writings and revelations of Joseph Smith, who is viewed as a prophet.
